  We arrived and waited at the entrance to the restaurant to be seated, a waitress who was busy talking to a colleague ignored us, so we seated ourselves. As she past the table some 10 minutes later we asked if it was OK to sit where we were, she replied that she was not working at this time.
  We ordered our starters, two of them were incorrect so we sent them back ... the correct replacements arrived about 25 minutes later, not a good start!
  I suspect that the fish I ordered had not been thawed out correctly and that the fat in the fryer was not hot enough, (probably caused by the ice on the fish) as when I opened the fish it was full of a white sludge, uncooked fish and totally saturated in cooking fat ... unedible!! We sent the fish and chips back to the kitchen to join the starters.
  Agreed, the table staff took some money off our bill because of the 'poor' experience we had endured, but I can't help wondering why in the name of God do restaurants in the UK employ kitchen staff who have clearly no idea how to cook, and table staff who have no customer awareness?
  I tried to rate this place with no stars but it would not post, so it a one star for me. You have been warned!!

  The food was great (the mallow mess is amazing!), even a bit fancy and the service is exceptional. It was worth to visit Old Beaconsfield when only checking the model village first.

  i went there for my brothers birthday meal in the middle of december, amazing food! absolutely amazing staff very polite and my bar tender was a very nice woman and was quick and efficient!! 100% go visit again!
